
Fall Harvest: Persimmon Dream Smoothie
I'm loving persimmons more than anything this season—they make an incredible addition to vegan pies + smoothies, taste great raw, and are perfect sliced, frozen, and added into nana ice cream with Green Dream + lots of cinnamon.
In case you don't know, you can (and should) eat the peel! Just wash it well, cut the hard leaves off, + eat the rest like an apple!
And for some reason when I finish a workout, persimmons are the very first thing I crave. When I finish dinner + am looking for a quick + healthy dessert, I grab one. And when I wake up, the first thing I want is a plump persimmon..noticing a trend here?
This weekend, I picked up some B E A U T I F U L persimmons at the farmer's market + whipped up this oh-so-yummy smoothie with Green Dream, pecans, + fall spices. Blend it up and then scope out the brilliant rainbow of fruits + veggies that were part of this fall harvest!

Gather This:
- 2 fuyu persimmons, chopped
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 tablespoon fresh orange juice
- ¼ cup pecans
- 1 tablespoon Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend
- 3 chopped medjool dates or 1 tablespoon Green Bee Honey
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon + extra cinnamon for sprinkling on top
- ¼ teaspoon ground or fresh ginger
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
I love all the leafy greens of fall! I them add to soups, stir-frys, smoothies, omelettes, + bake them into chips. They add a vibrant color and tons of alkaline nutrition to a green juice created with cucumbers, celery, apple, + pear!
